Cumberland Pointe Reflects on the Christmas Season

January 17, 2020
Christmas at the Pointe was a grand affair for everyone!

We kicked the season off with a new tradition, creating a float for the St. Clairsville Christmas Parade. Assisted by staff from Park Health, our team had a merry time celebrating and connecting with the community.

Next, we took on the task of spreading Christmas cheer throughout the building, decorating every nook and cranny with the resident's help. Staff celebrated like one big family with their yearly potluck Christmas luncheon and party. Although the team had fun, our residents were clearly on the nice list this year. Martins Ferry Boy Scout Troop #62 worked hard on Christmas cards, St. Clairsville Middle School Ambassadors delivered cards and stuffed animals, and the Union Local High School Choir filled the halls with Christmas carols. Finally, our residents were treated to an afternoon of singing, dancing, gifts, and food thanks in part to the Belmont County Correctional Institute.

On Christmas morning, every resident woke up to a stocking filled with goodies at the foot of their beds.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the following for their support this holiday season:
  • Belmont County Correctional Institute
  • Martins Ferry Boy Scout Troop #62
  • St. Clairsville Middle School Ambassadors
  • Union Local High School Choir
