Employee Spotlight - Kayla

Our team here at Cumberland Pointe is filled with amazing individuals that put their all into making our facility feel like home for our residents. We wanted to give our community and families a peek at the faces behind the masks that take care of your loved ones every day. An amazing employee that deserves to be acknowledged for the month of April is Kayla Pellen.

Kayla started her healthcare journey this year. She is the newest member of our Activities Team and works in our Geri-Psych Behavioral Unit. She has been a wonderful addition to the team. We love seeing our residents happily painting, doing crafts, and playing games that Kayla helped put together. One of our residents said, “She gets us up to do activities and keeps us busy, and we really enjoy it!”



Another reason she is so deserving of this recognition is that her core values are being honest and trustworthy. She believes the most rewarding part of her job is seeing the residents smile. She loves to listen to their stories and feels she is a great listener.

In her spare time, Kayla enjoys spending time with her son, horseback riding, swimming, fishing and being outside. A few of her favorite things include spaghetti and all types of music!

Kayla, we thank you for all the hard work and care you provide at Cumberland Pointe. It is much appreciated, and we are fortunate to have you a part of our team!
