Newly Expanded Geriatric Secured Behavioral Unit

Cumberland Pointe Care Center is proud to announce that we have recently expanded our Geriatric Secured Behavioral Unit!

Our Secure Geriatric Behavioral Unit originally opened in the Spring of 2018 with 11 beds and only admitted male residents. We have now expanded to 28 beds and accept both male and female residents. Also added to the unit is a large dining area. Meal service, social interactions, games, puzzles, group activities, and family visits are just a few of the activities that go on in this common area.



Our secured unit is designed with your loved one's safety in mind. The Cumberland Pointe staff is dedicated to providing care for those with behavioral needs. For those experiencing a mental health challenge, a structured environment provides a calming experience. Most importantly, our unit is a secure environment for male and female adults in need of supervised psychiatric care.

We love hearing about the experiences of our current residents. Robert Albright has been a resident in our Secure Geriatric Behavioral Unit for almost three years. His wife, Lark, said, “This has been a great place for him; everyone has been so wonderful and helpful. We have no complaints. He loves the food and all of the aides. I could say something nice about everyone who takes care of Bob. I would recommend this unit to someone in need.”
